‘Exploring Nature’

Dawn Adams’ inspiration comes from the detail that others rarely notice. Finding delight in the everyday ‘overlooked’ she is drawn to materials that suggest a fragile balance, such as porcelain, stitch and screen printing. The resulting pieces are often multi-layered fabrications that command closer inspection.

Katharine Green explores the use of colour, texture and form in her hand-painted lino prints. Her work is heavily influenced by her garden and the surrounding Hertfordshire countryside. Katharine brings her fascination with the local wildlife to her work and aims to capture the characters that visit, such as a resident fox or her own cat asleep amongst the catmint.
