Mark making has been described as the lines, dots, textures and patterns used by an artist to create an artwork. Whether painted, drawn or even scratched onto a surface, an artist can use gesture to express their feelings and emotions in response to the world around them.
The Wynd Gallery is therefore proud to present Making Our Mark, a new body of work by local artists Sandy Campbell and Audrey Imber.
Following Stanley Greening’s solo exhibition, our group exhibition, by our gallery artists, is proving another great success. There is always something new to view from artists like Jasmine Rae who creates atmospheric abstract oil paintings full of texture and emotion, or Adrian Marden who explores the aspects of materialism by examining simple domestic objects in a style he refers to as ‘EcoPop’, or ‘Pop Art with a conscience’.
Don’t forget we change our exhibitions every few weeks so there is always something new to view.
Another great exhibition but with added Christmas twinkle!
Come along and browse these great works by local artists. As Christmas is just around the corner we even have some beautiful hand-crafted glass Xmas tree decorations, not to mention the stunning display of fine art, ceramics and jewelry, which all make perfect gifts.
All work on display is for sale but you are most welcome to browse and enjoy the work too.
We also have a great selection of greeting cards by our artists!
Following the success of our first exhibition we now have more great work on display by our gallery artists. With such an eclectic blend of fine art and crafts of the highest quality, there truly is something for every taste.
If you haven’t visited us yet then please do, you won’t be disappointed! Why not pop on over and enjoy an aesthetic wonderment. You’ll even meet one of the artists! There are some nice cafes in the area for you to sit and ponder which great piece of work you want to buy.
The gallery looks great all finished! Walls painted and lighting installed, excellent job everyone!
As the Wynd Gallery prepares for its first exhibition, the artwork arrives. Eager to adorn walls, shelves, and plinths, the work can merely tease the eye through its blurred, bubbly wrappings. The gallery slowly fills with work from over 20 artists; sculptures, paintings, ceramics, prints, jewelry, drawings… A well selected, diverse, range of artists and disciplines that meld perfectly and promising to inject a huge creative buzz to the local area.
